They say the grass is always greener on the other side. Newsflash: No it isn’t!! This will all make sense in just a second. I’ve been using Philosophy Purity Made Simple Cleanser for over 20 years. Periodically I stopped using it because I wanted to try a “new” cleanser or something with the latest, greatest ingredients. What I ended up with is a closet full of cleansers that I never use and a whole bunch of empty Philosophy Purity Made Simple bottles.
That being said, today, I am officially declaring Philosophy Purity Made Simple my Holy Grail Cleanser and I will not be straying again! And I’m not alone, Purity Made Simple is a winner of Allures Best of Beauty Award several years running and Oprah loves it so much she put it on her famous “Favorite Things” list!
Let me tell you a bit about why I love this cleanser so much.

Purity Made Simple is formulated for all skin types and is gentle enough for the sensitive eye area.”
I can honestly tell you that all of this is true.
The Formula
This cleanser is a lightweight, creamy formula that melts away makeup, dirt and oil. It leaves your skin feeling super clean and fresh but never dry or tight. It has little to no scent. Some have said it has a very slight citrus scent although honestly, I don’t think it does. The formula lathers well and a dime sized amount of the cleanser is all you need for your entire face. I have sensitive skin and this cleanser never irritates it.
Usage/Results
Philosophy Purity Made Simple is truly a multitasker! Perhaps my favorite thing about it is the fact that I can use it to wash both my face AND my eyes! Most cleansers require a separate product for your eyes. In fact if you read the bottle on many cleansers it states to avoid the eye area. This is a pet peeve of mine. We lead busy lives, right? And we already have to apply multiple products every night. Who wants to purchase two separate products just to wash your face? Purity Made Simple also tones the skin, replacing the need for a toner! And if that isn’t enough, it provides light hydration as well.
Thankfully, my mother taught me from a very early age to never go to bed without washing my face. It really is the most important step of your skincare routine. I hope you are a member of the clean face club!
