Soap and Glory The Righteous Butter Review

My first experience with Soap & Glory’s, The Righteous Butter was about 15 years ago.  I guess you could call this product a drugstore “classic” although I’m not quite sure what the protocol is regarding how long something has to be around before it becomes a “classic”! Lol

For those of you who are not familiar with Soap and Glory, here’s a brief history on this brand.

In 2006, Soap and Glory started formulating fun, fearless products to give every girl the best bang for her beauty budget. Within weeks of their launch, their super-plumping Sexy Mother Pucker Lip Plumping Gloss was on its way to becoming iconic.  Soon after, The Righteous Butter was voted Britain’s Best The Righteous Butter.  Today, Soap and Glory has a full range of beauty, body and bath products.  Originally available only in Britain, the products are now available in the US and other countries worldwide.

[bctt tweet=”The packaging of the Soap & Glory Righteous Butter is charming, pretty & fun. As with many of their products, it’s somewhat nostalgic & PINK!” username=”40andholding_”]Apparently, the folks over at Soap & Glory love the color pink as much as I do!  Let’s dive in…

Formula & Scent

The Righteous Butter is made with shea butter, aloe vera, coconut oil, glycerin & cocoa butter.  It’s formulated to be a moisturizing cream for very dry, dehydrated skin.  The formula does contain parabens but according to the FDA they are safe in skincare products & cosmetics and that doesn’t really bother me.

One of my favorite things about The Righteous Butter is the Scent.  It is amazing.  Soap & Glory calls it their “original pink fragrance“.  The fruity-floral signature fragrance is a blend of rose, bergamot, orange leaf, lemon, strawberry, gardenia and jasmine.  Some have compared it to Dior Miss Cherie perfume.

Performance

[bctt tweet=”I have extremely dry skin, especially in the fall & winter months and this body butter does the job. I like to put it on right after my shower. The lightweight texture spreads easily and absorbs quickly into the skin.” username=”40andholding_”]There is no oily or greasy after effects from this cream.  The lovely scent, unfortunately is not long-lasting, it lasts a couple of hours.  They do make a Body Spray in the same original pink fragrance and I have found that layering the body spray and the body butter makes the scent last longer!

Price

At $15.00 USD for a 10.1 oz Tub, The Righteous Butter is affordable and the tub lasts a really long time.  You only need a small amount (I scoop some out with two fingers) of this stuff for your entire body.

Bottom Line

If you are an all-natural gal, this may not be for you because it does contain parabens.  If that doesn’t bother you, this body butter is worth a try!  The company claims that a tub of this is sold every 20 seconds somewhere in the world.  I can see why.  It does what it claims to do – moisturizes extremely dry, dehydrated skin, it smells amazing and doesn’t cost a fortune!  The Righteous Butter has become a staple in my bathroom and I will definitely continue using it.

Have you tried The Righteous Butter?  Or any other Soap & Glory Products?  What are your favorites?  As always, I’d love to hear from you.  Please leave your comments below!

Until next time…

However, products here are super expensive compared to home, I can’t justify paying that much Korean currency! But would with British pounds..:hahaha
