When Erno Laszlo contacted me and asked if I would like to try a few of their best selling products, my answer was YES..YES…YES! My Review of four of the brand’s best sellers is coming up, but first… In case you didn’t know, the brand was founded by Dr. Erno Laszlo, Dermatologist to some very famous faces including one of my favorites of all time, the beautiful, Marilyn Monroe. In fact Erno Laszlo was Marilyn Monroe’s favorite skincare brand.
When I think old Hollywood glam, Marilyn Monroe is one of the first that comes to mind. With her legendary blonde hair, red lips, hourglass figure and sassy personality, she remains a beloved icon some 57 years after her death. One of the things that has always fascinated me about Marilyn was her flawless radiant skin. If you’ve never seen Marilyn Monroe with no makeup, Google it… she was beautiful and her skin was healthy and glowing. Long before Jennifer Lopez and the “jLo Glow”, Marilyn OWNED the glow. When asked to share the secret to her beautiful skin, Marilyn credited her healthy, radiant glow to staying out of the sun, religiously sticking to her daily skincare routine, and to her Dermatologist, Dr. Erno Laszlo.

Dr. Laszlo treated Marilyn’s skin throughout her career and even developed a product specifically for her. Erno Laszlo’s Phormula No. 3-9 Repair Cream was custom made for Marilyn to fade a scar on her stomach. Her favorite moisturizer was Erno Laszlo’s Active Phelityl Cream. Marilyn put this cream on right before she went to bed and kept it on her nightstand as a reminder. A jar of this cream was found on her nightstand beside her bed the night she died.

Dr. Laszlo was a visionary. He was far ahead of the times in his discoveries. He was the first to coin the phrase “double cleanse”. My Take: Although the brand recommends using this cleanser in the morning, I’ve been using it morning & evening. This cleanser removes every bit of makeup, leaving the skin feeling clean & refreshed but not tight. With black charcoal, fruit enzymes and a Kale Protein blend, it didn’t irritate my sensitive skin and can even be used to remove eye makeup. ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️⭐️⭐️

Erno Laszlo was double cleansing before double cleansing was “cool”!Brightening Dual Phase Peel
With Vitamin C, Carrot Seed Oil and Lactic Acid, Brightening Dual Phase Peel is a two-step peel that gently polishes the skin to reveal a smoother, more even-toned and illuminated complexion. Step 1 gently exfoliates; Step 2 activates with brightening and moisturizing actives.
My Take: I love this peel. It’s so easy to use and takes a total of 2-4 minutes once or twice a week. After using this peel once a week for 4 weeks, my skin is brighter and glowing. I have had zero irritation from it and using it once a week, the jar will last forever. Bonus… it can also be used on dry problem areas on the body like elbows, knees and feet! ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️⭐️⭐️

Erno Laszlo Antioxidant Complex for Eyes is a gel cream that brightens dark circles, while cleansing, de-puffing and improving the feel of skin’s elasticity. With Mulberry Extract, Vitamin C and Aloe Vera, it revitalizes the delicate skin around your eyes, firms and restores a youthful look.
My Take: This eye cream is more of a gel than a cream. There is a slight cooling sensation when applied to the skin and it dries quickly. It works well on it’s own or under makeup. After using the eye cream twice a day for 4 weeks, I have seen improvement to under eye bags and the under eye area appears brighter. This jar will last a long time because you only need a dab under each eye. ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️⭐️

Antioxidant Eye Complex brightens dark circles, while cleansing and de-puffing.Firming Essense
This light “gel lotion” rehydrates, re-plumps and restores skin’s luminosity by helping it better attract and hold hydration. Firming Essense has Hyaluronic Acid which binds water to the skin alongside skin-conditioning Spirulina Maxima.
My Take: This is one of my favorite products I’ve tried all year. I seriously had no idea what an “Essense” was before using this. In case you don’t know either, Essense is an integral part of skincare regimens throughout Asia. It is essentially a hydrating layer that primes the skin to best absorb your serums and creams. The consistency of the essence is very light and is much thinner than a serum. You apply it right after cleansing. I love using the Firming Essense in the morning because it leaves your skin smooth, glowing and makes your makeup look fantastic! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Overall, I really love these best sellers from Erno Laszlo. After 4 weeks of use, each of the products perform as advertised and have improved the condition of my skin. Plus… who doesn’t want to spend a few minutes every day with Marilyn Monroe’s Dermatologist?

I didn’t even know the Dr. Laszlo brand existed (and I worked in Nordstrom for years…I wonder if they carry it now. I’m just into my 40’s and I’m starting to see sun damage (never mind that I use SPF 50++ every day and have been doing so for the past 15 years). I think I’m going to give the White Marble Essence Lotion a try. It sounds perfect.
