Do you know the old saying, “If it sounds to good to be true, it probably is”? Well toss that out the window. This is one case where it definitely does not apply. Target’s Smartly Hand and Body Lotion is seriously good and it’s just $2.00! The moisturizer is part of Target’s Smartly brand, which Target describes as a line of products that are “effective, stylish and unbelievably affordable, for the budget-conscious and space-constrained shopper”. You may be thinking OK, it’s really affordable but what’s so great about this lotion? Well…
Smartly Hand and Body Lotion is available in three scents and one unscented version.
For those who are sensitive to fragrance, the unscented version truly has no smell. I suppose that is what led to the totally cute packaging which reads “Smells like, Well, Nothing” on the front of the bottle. It is completely fragrance free and odorless. If you do prefer a fragrance, the lotion also comes in three scents, Summertime, Rain Shower and Meadow. The unscented version is phthalate-free, paraben-free, Sodium Laureth Sulfate (SLES) free and contains no artificial colors, flavors or preservatives. The scented lotions are also paraben free.
The Unscented Smartly Hand and Body Lotion is the one that I tried and the one that people have been raving the most about. It moisturizes well and leaves no greasy residue and in my opinion, is comparable to many of the name brand lotions.

As a breast cancer survivor, I only use paraben free cosmetics. Its great to know there is a budget-friendly lotion that is free of phthalates, parabens, SLES, artificial colors, flavors and preservatives. Plus, I love that its not greasy! I’ll definitely give this one a try. Thanks for the review!
