Sun In Hair Lightener Review
This stuff has been around a long time! I started using Sun-In Hair Lightener when I was in high school and to this day it remains a staple in my bathroom. At under $5.00, I would place this classic on my Top Ten List of Drugstore Beauty Finds! If you’re looking for sun-kissed, supermodel strands and you’re not in a big hurry, this may be your secret weapon!
Originally available in Lemon Scent, today, Sun In comes in two fragrances… the original Lemon Scent and Tropical Breeze. If you have dark hair, Sun In probably will not work for you. If your hair is blonde to medium brunette, it’s worth a try! The company does not recommend using Sun In on chemically treated hair, although personally I do and have never had a problem with it. That being said, be sure you know your hair well, understand the risks, and test the product before you attempt to lighten your own hair.

Sun In is super easy to use. Just spray it your damp hair and comb through. You can spray all over or just spray the strands you want to highlight. Sun In is heat activated. You can either go outside and air dry in the Sun or blow dry your hair. It’s not an instant fix, it will take several applications to see results. I normally see results after 3-5 uses. As with any chemical treatment, I would recommend using a good conditioner on your hair while using this product.
Overall, this bottle of sunshine in a bright neon bottle is well worth the price and worth a try!
Have you used Sun In? Thinking of trying it? As always, I’d love to hear from you. Please leave your comments below!
